It definitely has that old NG vibe, as in, all the old instruments I used to be obsessed with! Mix is a bit dirty and loud at 57 seconds.

If you were going strictly for olskool NG vibe, that vocal sample at 59 seconds is a no-go. Take it from a seasoned 21 year vet LOL. As long as music has been on this site, I have listened to it xD (not factored into score as it sounds okay, just dry)

Solid ideas throughout this track. Stunted only by poor mix balance, compensated for with a bit of over-compression.

There is low frequency popping around 2:00 that I cannot tell the source of. That does not sound good. It continues through and around 2:23. And around there is where I feel your structure somewhat falls apart with too many disparate elements seemingly looping and not really building toward anything until we arrive at 2:55.

So I would recommend study of song structure and general mix balance in classic trance. Your strings throughout are way too loud, masking all but kick and bass (when kick and bass are arguably the focus of any EDM track, because helloooo, we tryna fuck the club up)

And I would argue that low cutting your delays and verbs, as well as other sustaining instruments in the low register so that they did not interfere with the fundamentals of your bass would do this mix a lot of good. Make that compression really pop.
