Originally Titled Regret.
This is my first composed song, which will be blatantly clear. It is a solemn comment on war.

It is the music I felt I guess, in relation to a scene in a yet to be finished story of mine. War, regret, I won't go into details, but somebody's kicking themselves.

My inspiration to compose my own music and reason for submitting is attributed to MaestroRage.
If you haven't heard any of his music on NG, you are indeed deprived. Bless your ears to his music and treat your soul. (fan boi whaaat?)
I've always loved music, I hope I can always make it, and if not, just hearing it in my head will do me.

I will gladly take all and any comments, particularly ones that can tell me how to make it suck less, I still have barely any clue what I'm doing.

Something else ought to be submitted soon, if it's good enough.*

*Good enough in my opinion.

I'm sorry.

Did you ever get the advice you were looking for?

Being one of the more serious pieces you have submitted, Leech------>
I have nothing bad to say about this at ALL.
Not that I know much about musical composition anyway but. . .
I think you achieved the sound you were looking for with the drums you chose.
They DEFINITELY sounded like drums of war, Man.
One of my FAVORITE parts was the siren in the background.
It was so subtle but necessary. I loved it!
The melody was simple but effective in conveying your emotions.
Thank you for giving us a little piece of you here, Leech.
Not that your goofy improv stuff isn't JUST as entertaining on a different level. It's just nice to know you have emotional needs as well. Whatever, I now, digress. Hope to hear you again soon, my little Koala Bear. . .
*points at you and smiles immaturely* Until then. . .

...........Take care, be good and express.period

Assassin2 responds:

I need to fix this, the more i worked on it the worse it got.

Nice...

I'm loving the interesting instrumental choice in this song. The drums were a nice touch. The beat really makes the song, and the melody is also nice. :)

Assassin2 responds:

I wish I could remake this. I could I guess. The string melody is horribly high and piercing. I liked my old take of this, I killed it by over working it.

Amazingly smooth!

It would almost be a crime if this wasn't used in a flash. It would be perfect for the ending credits. It's refreshing to hear something so clear and smooth in the audio portal.

The only bad thing is, that the one of the strings seems to be little out of synch. Or maybe it's just my imagination!

Anyway, deserves 9/10 and 5/5.

Assassin2 responds:

Aint you a darling. Glad you liked it, I'm working (lol) on remaking it and having it much less tinny sounding with the main string. Also doing an acoustic version of it which is a lot different. Thanks anyway.

lol suck less?

lemme see if i got your format correct, bass strings and cellos on same, snare everyonce in awhile with cymbal, second violins doing arpeggios, violas same as cellos, and a solo violin, and did i hear a siren? its good. my recommendation would be to not make it a solo, maybe only a solo in the beginning cause the melody i think repeats itself. make it a duet the second time, third time duet with harmony (while the arpeggios continue have the duet violin countermelody using counterpoint) accent more with cellos, they are beautiful instruments. then again these are just my opinions :) you have a great concept. if it was more developed it could be a spectazcular performance. 4/5 8/10 (i wont vote cause that'll decrease your score)

Assassin2 responds:

I love that you looked into it so much. In all honesty, this was my first song, and it was in FL studio and it became a real mess so I had to simplify it, it originally had the siren and battle sound effects and it was just, whack. The way you would have it is pretty much what I would want to, I really need to remake this once I get the know-how. Thanks for listening and talking about it.
