Through Doorways

The pathway stood before him; The door, slightly ajar.
In its opaque crease a slippery appendage beckoned him.
Then, like wet seaweed it faded away.
Interested, you followed.
Against your better judgment.
You had no other choice.
It had obviously flashed the "C'mere" gesture.
As you approached the decorative frame.
a tapping was heard, like wet tails.
You reached out to touch the brass knob
Catching your reflection before you place a hand.
You looked half there, as if your reflection was transparent.
You had to move forward. No matter what rested ahead.
It was already ajar...
You pulled the door towards you, slowly..
but before you knew it, you were snatched in..

( not much to say about this, just a fast, fun, song, experimenting. Wanted to make something that'd sound really fun live. Didn't really want to post this, but, ah well, maybe someone would like, yeah?)

Very nerving when sitting in a dark room by yourself. But still love this song so lets go with a 10/10 and a 5/5. Keep up the good work! :P

Lapse responds:

Ah-heh heh. Thanks man. Glad ya dig. Glad its nerving, too. I was sort of hoping for that : D

THAT was AWSOME - it was fun - and the door worked well - i liked how the beat changed tempo at times - that was an artistic peice - the beat mostly sat well with the piano yet at times not - very jolly and uplifting. keep the good work up - LOL i just got to the second door LOLOLOL your funny. i like the end... 5/5
Check out Venesian snares on youtube or something, the beats are crazy like this.

Lapse responds:

Hey man, im really glad you like this. This was just a quick fun project.
I do listen to V snares, the flashbulb, etc. I love idm and glitchy beats. So much!

I love the tempo changes.

Lapse responds:

Thanks, again ^___^

Very Aphex Twin and Atari Teenage Riot like. Good work. The use of the door about halfway through was great.

Lapse responds:

Thanks man, haha some people like the door - others - not so much : D
So its nice to see your one of the people who do appreciate it.

Thanks for listening.

yea it is more on the idm side, but i thought it was really good, everyone has their different styles and preferences. it sounds like some shit you would hear from aphex twin or another artist of alike style, also didnt mind the door sounds, very good stuff

Lapse responds:

Yeah man, this is a fun track. Like i said, nothing too serious with this track. It was when i first found out about the "amen break". So i wanted to do some wild fast 'Venetian Snares' like breaks. I'm glad you like it though. I should've worked more on it. Ah well, just me experimenting with stuff. Thank you for the high scores : D
Keep on listenin'
