Dude the genre and tags are doing this song a disservice. This is def a similar style to smash mouths walking on the sun and that's an indie/pop rock song with ska influence. I know people are looking for this kinda genre music but they're not gonna find where you have it listed.

The start is very beautiful, with a great melody. I'm a big fan of the sound and the nice drums; they contrast well with the instruments and the synthy sound.

At 1:03, the vocals cut out to a bar, which felt out of place in the experience because the change isn’t different enough to warrant it. It doesn’t contribute to the story in a way that helps the narrative.

I absolutely love this. The main plucky lead gives so much dreamcore vibes. And the vocals scream jack stauber! The stabs that pan around my head when I listen remind me of Voyage. Everything about this is a mix of stuff I adore in dreamy music. It makes me feel young again.
