This beat and bass guitar at the beginning... they remind me a little of something from Red Alert 1 OST. I found some on YouTube :

This is some random song I've kinda had in my head for a while now. It's nowhere near perfect, let alone good, but this is my first song I've ever fully composed, so cut me some slack. Partially I'm just uploading this because I do want criticism on it, so I can grow musically. But if you enjoy this weird funk thing, then awesome! The feeling and meaning of this little thing is just that life is a flow of feelings and I wanted that to happen with the sounds.

I find this quiet meditative.) For me personally it lacks some progression. The bass and drums could stay the same, but the high pitch ambient in the background could grow and morph. Something like the bass slides and drop of the synth around 3:00 more often :D that was pretty refreshing!
Messing with the instrument in the end (is that violin?) was cool too.)
For a first release it's great! I like the overall mix. Maybe to cut some low freqs?
Will be look forward hearing your future stuff.)
