THIS SHIT IS SO FIRE?? GOTTA ADD TO SPOTIFY
WARNING: Like TRIP, PLEASE do not listen to this song at full volume with headphones on (idk who even does that). It could very well end up being a starting place for hearing problems (Same goes for most of my pieces tbh).
My submission to Madness Day 2024, which took a whopping 3-4 hours straight to make. Goddamn I'm tired (Wrote this part at 2:45 AM EST).
I guess the idea behind this track was to have something that wasn't really super aggresive (i.e. electric guitars all over the place, booming growl basses, or written in power chords), but at the same time, it needed to be chaotic enough. Which was the idea behind INSOMNIA. I'd like to think that this song is both a mix of calmness (using softer synths such as the arpeggiators you hear), yet at the same time, it can be very chaotic and at times, even unsettling (the pitch down part, with the slow rise). That's my rationale, now onto the breakdown:
195 BPM high energy and loud experimental song written in C minor 7 (Pretty unique I know), with the quick bout in B minor at the beginning. The spiritual sequel of TRIP, as I so think of it (hence the simplicity, and the first buildup, an odd decision I made which signifies that this is TRIP's continuation).
Building on the stupid decisions, I decided to go loud again. Why do I do this to myself.
I used more synths this time, but I decided to add effects anyways because I want to. (IT DIDN'T END UP BEING A ONE TIME THING).
Let me know if anything needs to be changed (volume excluded). May your ears be safe.
THIS SHIT IS SO FIRE?? GOTTA ADD TO SPOTIFY
It’s not on Spotify (idk if it ever will be), but it will be on YouTube :D
Thanks!
Edit: It’s FINALLY on YouTube lmao. Check the link in the description I guess
Weird that it has 2 buildups tbh, I dont think the first one is necessary
Chorus bangs tho
I love the lil chill bit at 1:08
and 1:18 after that is trippy af, weird vibes
One of my faves from you!
Happy madness day!
I guess so, but i did want it to be clear that it was TRIP’s spiritual successor of sorts, and that it isn’t a coincidence that they sound alike. Maybe I’ll remove it though
Additionally, the chill piece before the weird trippy chaos is how it generally should be imo. But yea. C'est la vie and all that
Thanks for the review :)
