The previous three tracks on the album ENTROPY are atmospheric, contemplative, and weighty. "Last Night" flips the script with a sparse bass-house beat more along the lines of "Digital", but taken to a new, gritty place.

It provides a counter-statement to "2042"'s slow-building groove with a gritty bass-line and sharp drums, sketching a night out where music thuds over the crowd at a nightclub. It may sound sparse on your headphones, but it sure doesn't on a larger sound system.

Despite the change of scene it provides on ENTROPY, there's still subtle moments of atmosphere and contemplation that tie in with the rest of the tracks.
