"You now stand at the Grave of Light. The voices of your fallen friends and foes beckon you. How far you have come, you many you've rent asunder; all for naught.

I admire your determination. Man and God alike fear your name. But there is no such thing as destiny. You chose this path, a path I once followed as well.

Look where that path has taken me. I am a king! A deity! A God!...

...

I never wanted this. I never wanted any of this.

...

Draw your weapon, traveler, and let us dance."

Piece inspired by Terraria Calamity's upcoming Yharim boss fight.

I wish there was some BASS, but good nonetheless!

crispybatteryacid responds:

Ah. Nostalgia.

To me, what separates good music from great music is its ability to tell a story or convey an emotion.

I play a lot of modded Terraria and this one tried to tell the tragic tale of Yharim (the antagonist of one of the mods) his rise to power and his underlying guilt and depression. Didn’t succeed, but was a good stepping stone I think.

Thanks for reviewing all my stuff mate!

Nice

crispybatteryacid responds:

thanks man!

That quote was quite fun to read while listening to this.
I really need to get back to terraria some day...

crispybatteryacid responds:

i've got over 200 hours in TMod myself. Just finished a Calamity playthrough with my buds and im in the middle of another one with them. i thought DM Dokuro made fantastic music for that mod and this one was inspired by him a little bit :D

thank you for your support man!
