I turned 22 today. I think I may make this an annual tradition where I make a cover of the birthday song that reflects my current mental state.

This one is written in 5/4 to symbolize uncertainty for the future, but the bright piano and driving countermelody propel me forward with hope regardless. I am grounded by the rhythm, and by loved ones. The path forward may be shaky, but I can traverse it with the confidence of a man who is loved.

(Also the short length symbolizes my ever decreasing amount of free time. Life is moving way too fast now, and something tells me it might not slow down. Lol.)
