This song has actually been sitting around in my project files for like around 2 months. I didn't bother to upload until now since I kinda procrastinated on mixing it and eventually giving up (sorry for the clunkiness).
Lemme make this clear: I really don't believe this is a good song. I sorta made this in a whim for a drawing time-lapse made by my friend (go check it out here: [link will eventually be here]). I initially created a single melody that is repeat ALL over this song. I used violins and viola for the beginning then switched to saws and guitars by the drop. The life droplet SFX that bounces from ear to ear also carries throughout the song. After the drop, you can hear choirs coming from one side, flipping to the other periodically.
Speaking of panning, I decided to try the new Spreader plug-in that came in FL Studio 24 and it heightens the song even further; the higher tones (leads) are more spread out and immersive while the low tones (basses) are still centered. Before you had to use Patcher in order to separate an instrument's sound and use multiple other plug-ins in order to separate the frequencies between the ears. But now, the Spreader makes that process 10 times easier and I couldn't be more grateful.
Besides panning, I've also played around with filters and reverb to slowly introduce and fade each instrument to the song. I added a few SFX here and there including some risers and crashes. Right before the "climax" of the song, I've actually include a reversed sample of the instrument that comes in shortly after (right at the 2 minute mark) using Edison.
The last part of the song is actually a scrapped part. I originally planned to somehow incorporate it into the main song, but I eventually just included it after as a "bonus" section instead of cutting it out entirely. The transition at around 3:45 is honestly my favorite part of the entire song (yes, including the actual portion).
Although this ain't my proudest work, I'm still happy that I'm at least able to gain experience with using FL Studio. Believe it or not, I still have a lot to learn about the program. I got all the basics down, however I want to implement some more advanced techniques to enhance my songs even further. Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go but we're steadily making progress.
