This sounds really good, I spit my water out when I realized this had lyrics!
You sound like a singer in some sort of animation movie ngl. This sounds good!

This Is Not Lostwave is a collection of songs I managed to save after my hard drive was wiped on August 15th, 2024.
0:00: Aimless Wandering Remaster
The first song is an unfinished remaster of Aimless Wandering that I was working on as part of my Inktober 2023 project, there are in fact several versions of this song, in the future I may post them to an archive somewhere, but until then this is the "most complete" version of the song. Things like my vocals and some mixing of certain instruments aren't perfect in this version, also the changed lyrics weren't finalised at the time and there was supposed to be some lyrics in the bridge before the final chorus, but I got distracted with other projects and left this version as it was, being mostly satisfied with the result.
Seeing as I've lost the project files to this and the rest of Inktober 2023, as well as me severely putting off working on the rest of the remasters for several months, I'm indefinitely putting the project on hold/softly cancelling the project.
Lyrics:
Aimless wandering day by day,
Through browsers and tabs to keep myself sad
Distractions are made through the websites we save
And apps we forget, with GIFs we collect
Pull me away from my chair!
Pull me out of my lair!
Show me something I'll recognise,
Or I'll forget how, won't realise.
Pull me away from my chair!
Pull me out of my lair!
Show me something that you've made
Or I'll forget you one day!
Aimless wandering through many sites,
I type and I click to keep myself sick.
Just let me break free "No you still cannot leave
'Cause you lack control, and no one believes"
Wandering aimlessly I see what's nice.
But algorithms say it won't suffice.
It's mass appeal yet very few care
Is making new art in this world at all fair?
Pull me away from my chair!
Pull me out of my lair!
Show me something I'll recognise,
Or I'll forget how, won't realise.
Pull me away from my chair!
Pull me out of my lair!
Show me something that you've made
Or I'll forget you one day!
(repeat the chorus once more)
3:23: Advancement One Remaster
The second song is a remaster of the song Advancement One from Album-A-Day: Advancement that I wasn't intending on releasing, but as a way to preserve this work I'm including it as part of this EP.
This was mostly just me screwing around with new plugins and sounds, I think this sounds even more like from a bargain-bin JRPG than it did before but I still like it. Even though I still have those particular project files on another hard drive, I don't plan on remastering the other songs.
7:11: Untitled Space Demo
The third song is an unfinished and untitled demo song made for @MetalSlayer69 as part of a project they're co-director of alongside @tawaki6ixty5ive. Slayer asked me to create a short demo to see if I could produce something that would suit an animation that's currently in production. It was approved.
This was made to sound a bit space-rocky and a bit like psychedelia. It was left in an unfinished state for a long time and then the hard drive got wiped, so I no longer have the project file to work on, but thankfully it was a fairly simple piece and I should be able to replicate it quite easily.
This is probably the most lostwavey-sounding one of them all, in the sense that it doesn't have a name attached to it and it sounds a bit bizarre and one might say a bit mysterious.
Lyrics:
Starward visitor, bipedal inquisitor
Your home marble a twinkle of cobalt enkindle
While deeper into the void past dust and asteroids
The wonders there'll be, we'll find here as we see!
9:13: Fauxstalgia
This fourth track is part of a new EP project that I started working on, the material written for the EP was about some stuff I've been meaning to get out of my head for a short while, the only song that had any notable work done to it was this track, which had the working title of 'Fauxstalgia', meaning to feel nostalgic for something you haven't, or couldn't experience.
This track was far from actually being complete and it's very easy to tell, there was meant to be lyrics but the lyrics I had written down got wiped and I didn't have a backup anywhere. In its current state it's very much missing a lot of things but I think it's still quite nice.
11:36: Aimless Wandering (Acoustic Version)
I did say there were several versions of this song! While the other remaining versions of the song are essentially the same/earlier versions as the one already showcased, this version was one where I replaced the piano with an acoustic guitar and removed most of the background instruments. Why did I do this? Same reason as for the Advancement One Remaster, I wanted to try out some new plugins.
One very notable thing about this version is the fact that I recorded the vocals in one take and didn't edit out any of the background noise. Much like the Advancement One Remaster I wasn't intending on releasing this, hence why I was also out of range with the notes at the end of bridge.

Aimless wandering through many sites,
I type and I click to keep myself sick.
I thought I'd break free but I still cannot leave
A lack of control, but few believe.
Wandering aimlessly I see what's nice.
But algorithms say it won't suffice.
The fakest and loudest is what gets the shares,
It's mass appeal, yet very few care.
Pull me away from my chair!
Pull me out of my lair!
Show me something I'll recognise,
Or I'll forget how, won't realise.

I kinda love that comparison, thanq yuo.
the remaster of "aimless wandering" and the space song are very solid, i like them! had you still had the projects to them i'd say they need more polish, but that's not possible anymore is it?
thanq yuo and unfortunately not unless I just somehow am able to replicate them from the ground-up. With the Untitled Space Demo I very much plan on remaking it as it's part of someone else's project.
