very cool melody with a dope chiptune bass.

There's some choices I like and some I dislike in how they sound, and that could be all due to my ears being really sensitive to high pitch stuff. The main instrument is much louder than anything else in here, maybe excluding the drums, but I don't have any problems with them, they're fun, even though not anything exceptional, which they don't have to be to add onto the feel of the whole thing. I'd definitely turn down the volume of the main melody, at least in the first part before it reapers in the second. This might be a me issue, meaning not that accurate to how The Average Person™ would perceive this piece, but at least to me the overall volume and choices in instrumentation make it sound like screeching. It might sound good to others, even with it still being a bit too loud when compared to the rest, but I'm just trying to give off my perspective here. Other than that, It's really solid. My favourite part would be the transition around 1:45. Even though it doesn't sound that good to me, the melody still on itself in how it's written is good. It uses the main motif that it starts with and gradually evolves as the song goes on until the very end. I also like the pattern that the bass plays, it's funky. One last thing that this made me think of is, this would make a really cool jazz song with the way it's composed. Imagine the main melody being played by either a string instrument or a brass one, with the bass staying the same, and a more advanced drum pattern and a piano smashing the chords in a pattern that would fit with the drums, just a thought I had. Overall, while not something I'd listen to, and while with some mixing decisions that make it harder for me to listen to it at the least, I still wouldn't call it bad, not great either, but maybe somewhere in between.
