Here's a little inside glimpse at my creative process, in case you were ever feeling stuck or unsure of how to start a song! Here I've done a little bit of random messing around on the keyboard and recorded it, just to get a feel for what chords and melodies I could work with and what I wanted the overall feel to be. I didn't flesh out the form until I began writing the actual MIDI to Summer BoardWalk, but I did draw heavy inspiration from this demo, which I did back in May of 2023. (So don't ever feel bad if you feel like you're procrastinating on music production.) Instrumentation, mixing, length, and alterations and harmonies to the main melody didn't come until later either, but I was still able to draw up all of those from this simple 8-ish-bar demo I jammed out.

Getting a song to the point where it's a finished product can be a tall task. Hopefully it's helpful or at least a little cool, I plan on releasing more demos or rough cuts as a sort of way to show my process and give some inspiration.
