ooh I like this one <3
My entry for NGMT round 2, with an underwater theme. I started from the sax section and expanded out from there. This one kinda wrote itself. I wrote the jazz section and bell intro as a concept, and that was already almost 3 minutes.
The challenge was to use acoustic and synthetic instruments in roughly equal amounts, drums and SFX excluded. I think I achieved that here. I paired the electric piano with a synthesized rhodes patch, the supersaw with a church organ, the bell is FM, the bass, piano and sax are acoustic, and the pads (2) are synthesized.
I'll take this opportunity to shout out Eric Bowman on Youtube for inspiring me to finally give Vital a proper shot. The bell I made following his tutorial on how to make an FM bell sound, and the supersaw is from his freebie pack
The other main driver of this piece is the Monster Sax saxophone library, which is a killer freebie.
Rest of the stuff: Vital, ZynaddsubFX, Sonivox Essential Keys, Unreal Instruments standard bass SFZ, Air Music Strike
This is actually a V2. Made the pad less active and gave the last section a kick with literally any presence whatsoever (though I might still replace it with an electronic kick)
ooh I like this one <3
ooh this sounds lovely!!! : )
