tl;dr - This one's a hot mess but I'm tossing it up for Jamuary cause I'm never opening this project again lmao

Couple days ago I had this lil beat made and I exported it so I could listen to it on mp3 while I did some stuff around the house. Ended up closing off my pc without saving the project file a couple hours later. So I was a bit pissed to say the least.

Well, I opened up a beer or two last night and decided to just yeet the .mp3 back into my DAW to see if I could do something with it and I ended up having waaaaaay too much fun tossing effects onto the master channel. Gross beat in particular morphed parts of the loop into very interesting sounding beats so I ended up exporting about 10 or so different variations of a 4-bar loop.

After arranging them together, I started getting some ideas on how to even fuck up the sound even more and to make a long story short, I stretched the original 35 second beat into this. Halfway through I started layering some additional sounds and distorting the sound. By that point it sounded like my DAW had gone haywire so I looked up this random text-to-speech program and just typed in some corny phrases that ended up being the vocals you hear throughout. Ported that back into FL Studio and honestly it sounds really neat. Definitely not on par with a vocalist but it works for the theme of the track.

Now the problem is, when you're continuously distorting and exporting the same loops over and over again, your project gets a little bit messy and at this point it's become a fucking nightmare to edit this shit further so I'm just gonna call it quits before I have a meltdown myself. It was fun at first, now it's a headache. I'd rather work on some other stuff I got going on for Jamuary than to make this into a proper full track.
