A young woman approaches Miss Chievous at her circus job and seems to know what she is. She transforms the oddly willing victim into a giant living elephant balloon named Peanut to become a new magical circus act.

Areli: Debbie/ Miss Chievous

Calyopi: Penny / Peanut

[fade-in, interior. Quiet echo. Debbie walking into the big top after hours]

Areli:(Debbie) *long tired, but happy sigh* What a good show. I think the crowd really liked me…

Areli: It's been almost a whole month without her… maybe she’s finally-

[soft footstep sfx]

Calyopi: *quietly from behind* Hello, Debra? Debra Taunte?

Areli: *startled eep* ohmygod- …Shit! Don't do that… Wait- who- who are you?

Calyopi: My name is Penny. I have been looking for you- well, sort of you, for a while now.

Areli: *anxious, slowly build heavy breathing until TF* Uh… I think you have the wrong person.

Calyopi: Wait! Please, don’t leave. I know- well, I have heard about you. Is this you in the picture?

Areli: Stop- th-thats not me!

Calyopi: You used to live in Bakersfield, near your mom. Moved to Danvers. Moved to Chitten. Every time, you leave behind people that- well, they aren’t the same after running into you.

Areli: *exasperated sigh* What do you want?

Calyopi: I want to know what's going on. What your powers are.

Areli: Y-you don’t wanna know- you should go-

Calyopi: The “demon clown”. Who is “Miss Chievous?”

Areli: *groans* Shit- she’s c-coming~ *soft grunts/ moans as body expands*

[sfx as Debbie’s body expands and her clothes change]

Areli: *cheerful exhale as she stretches* Ahhhh~

Calyopi: Oh my god. It’s true.

Areli: Whaddya want, pipsqueak? You here to narc on my friend, Debbie?

Calyopi: It really wasn’t some stupid internet meme, you’re actually THE Miss Chievous!

Areli: *annoyed* Yeah. You found me. *menacingly* Want a prize?

Calyopi: Look, you’ve- well, you’ve been wreaking havoc across the tri-state area for some time now- I- would you be interested in an interview?

Areli: Not even a little, shortstack. You’re kinda ruining a great thing I got going here- I can have fun and perform and Debbie gets money to buy yummy food and the poor girl needs to socialize... I haven’t cursed anybody in forever!

Calyopi: I mean. The landlord thing was just a couple months ago.

Areli: *perky but exasperated* Exactly!

Calyopi: So, what, are you some kind of eldritch horror on vacation? An alien harvesting people for food?

Areli: If I said yes, would you go away? I said no interviews and you keep pestering me…

Calyopi: Is it true that the guy you turned into balloons floated all the way to China?

Areli: *finger snap* Y’know what? I just thought of a SUPER fun way for you to leave me alone!

Calyopi: Y-yeah?

[Fade in background crowd sfx, quiet circus music]

Areli: Yeah! All this space in the big top is perfect. Imagine the audience all around, thousands of people… watching you. They see your tiny frame and suddenly-

[pop sfx]

Areli: A button explodes off your clothes- that's weird~

Calyopi: *barely contained excitement, pretending to be afraid* Wh- what are you doing to me?

Areli: You’re trembling, but I don’t smell fear… Hmmm~

Calyopi: I don’t know what you’re- *popping sfx* talking- *swelling with air* -oof~

[body stretching, swelling, clothes ripping throughout next changes]

Areli: The crowd watching is awe, as your slight frame swells massive like a balloon~

Calyopi: O-ok, *nervous laugh* h- how big are we talkin?

Areli: Real big. Your pants and underwear give way- showing everyone your big blue booty while your shoes pop off and reveal you have big balloon-y stumps with the toes painted on. The helium filling you lifts you off the ground ever so slightly...

Calyopi: WH- whoa~! H- hey this- wha- I can’t, I can’t believe this is really happening!

Areli: It is happening- in front of a whole crowd of onlookers as your behind grows bigger and bigger! A long tail inflates and wobbles behind you as the fuzzy tip blows up into a plump blue paintbrush shape.

Calyopi: *anxious as she grows, floating just above the ground* Ohhh~! Come on- tell me what I’m becoming!

*Calyopi groans in the background as she continues to grow in size*

Areli: The crowd figures it out before you. Seeing the great roundness of your backside, the glossy, rubbery gray-blue of your new balloon skin. Your flat, stubby feet. You can feel the balloony-ness moving up your chest, replacing your flesh with a thin, empty shell of warm helium as your shirt and bra burst off!

[Popping, tearing sfx]

Calyopi: *yelps* S-stop… I don't wanna be … big… round…

Areli: I can tell you’re lying… Your body is filling so fast and growing so large, you lift up further away from the ground. Your ears twitch and you feel a strange pulling, like little hands are tugging them. They start to flick and flap as they grow large and flat and dwarf your flushed face.

Calyopi: Wait- I'm gonna be- you're making me- oh god… I- this is incredible~!

Areli: Your mask slips and everyone can see how badly you’ve wanted this. Your whole face is blushing a deep red before the glossy rubber hits your cheeks. You feel the helium fill your head and start to stretch in every direction. Turning blue, turning big~.

[Inflation sfx, voice deepens]

Calyopi: Ohhh… why is it so warm… my face feels so funny…

Areli: You try to feel where it goes slightly numb and find your hands are rapidly swelling into giant stumps too! They mush into your nose and you feel it stick to the rubber and it streeetches away from your face into a long squeaky trunk. A big wet bubble blows out from the tip first before more and more bubbles blow out all over the place!

Calyopi: O- oh no… I cant- I cant move… it's getting tight… d-don't pop me please!

Areli: Oh I wouldn't let my newest attraction pop~. You grow a pair of big balloon tusks as your face stretches into a toothy smile as it freezes in place. Your true self showing in the big friendly grin forever painted onto your elephant face. Your trunk curls out in front of you as your body gets tighter, going rigid as your gigantic gray blue body casts a shadow across the stands.

[Penny speaking mentally]

Calyopi: *muffled moan* I'm floating, everything looks so small…

Areli: The crowd marvels at your new size as you float overhead, spraying a sea of bubbles in every direction.

Calyopi: *muffled raspberry sound blowing bubbles* I- I can't stop!

Areli: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls give it up for Peanut the magic elephant!

[Cheering and applause sfx, and then it all stops abruptly]

Areli: Ah~ I can’t wait to blow you up big and round and tight every night for your big performance. I can see you trembling, does that mean you’re excited to~? *giggle*

Areli: You’re so fun now that you aren’t talking my ear off, Peanut. I'm glad I could find you a great new gig here with Debbie! Oh, you’re so cute, all elephant-y and big like this, everybody's gonna love you~!

[creaking, heavy wobble, deep rubber sfx begin to fade out]

Calyopi: *last muted soft moans*

[All ambience, sfx, music fades out, End.]
