This song has been a journey. I've reuploaded it twice now, first when I learned how to master, then again to fix my messed-up attempt to master the song. It's still "mastered" now (as in, I didn't revert to a previous audio file) but I brought the drums down a little bit and messed with snare velocities while I was under the hood. The waveform isn't one solid bar anymore, so that's a good sign.

Lyrics:

No one heard it

When the siren sounded

We all laughed too loud

When the bomb hit

We’d passed out in fountains

Made our parents proud

Nine-to-fivin'

Through a genocide and

Working overtime

Heart is pounding

Just to keep from drowning

Just to stay alive

Run in circles just to

Please the people that you

Need to keep your life on track

they’re as helpless as you

Though they may be the boot

There’s still a foot up their ass

Where to begin

When you’re born

At the ending

With a  life

that’s been spent

In a state

Of transition

When the dust

Settles down

Will we gather

in circles

Wondering

What happens now?
