This is a very raw composition that I have been working on, and probably one that I'll work on for a good amount of time. It may be used in a flash movie project if all goes well, but I'd like some crit to see if I'm on the right track.

If anyone's interested in helping me with the guitar work (i.e. recording the guitar since I hate guitar generators), drop me a message. I'm willing to work with anyone who's got a good mic, guitar, amp, and some skills, but most importantly, some time too. I'm going to turn this into a very complete song, but I lack the necessary tools to record with my own guitar.

Enjoy the work in progress, all reviews are appreciated. Thanks~

February 28 edit: I made some major changes to the drum beats and mastering. Hope everyone likes them. The mastering is much better now, even though the digital guitar sounds awful. I've also realized that the piano might get distorted at some point, but I'll fix that on the final version.

Nice

So this was nice I like this piece here I like this I like the guitar actually it was not the best by any means but still brings some decent quality to it and I could see you adding different variations of guitar types and such I say this because one I like guitar and two the guitar brings out the sound quality more

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
More variety of guitar

~X~

You asked for my guitar skills...

I think I just nailed a tone that's actually usable with some heavy equalizing. I'll try and see if I can cook something up for you.

Oh, and here's a 9 lol.

Should be great when it's more 'real'

I really like the accelerating tempo you've got here - really fun build up, though the ending is a bit sudden.

Guitar and drums could sound a lot more 'real' but you're aware of that, given your comments.

If you're still changing melody, I'd suggest making it longer, adding more experimentation with the melody once the guitar gets going...

Also, it feels like you could vary the velocity of piano fingering a bit more - it could have helped define the mood a bit more.

The key crit from my perspective is that the guitar should have more variations and feel more 'loose' and less 'structured, perfect and computery' if you know what I mean.

Stay funky

me is a piano fan

I lve what you did hear, didn't really liked the fast part. Try putting velocity changes on the drums to make them sound more realistic. good job.

Jurian

Moody

I really liked this song, quite good, nice build melodic piano build up that eminates throughout, and leads to quite a nice rocky song, good job. I really liked the guitar work even though it was a little too high pitched for my liking. And topped off with a good beat, obviously a winner :D
