I don't know what to say about this one. The sound quality bugs me.

The drum loop at the beginning is NOT my own by the way. It's a really nice loop that came with FL. I just sliced it up here and there to make a different beat. I don't like taking credit for stuff I don't do.

Calm, but purposeful.

I like the way that this tune has a calm part to it with the piano, but that the strings give it more urgency and pushes the piece forward with a great pace and just couples the whole piece to the beat, since sometimes the piano can sound like it fights the rest of the music, where it is very well integrated at present.

I'm into listening to this piece and wondering how it could have been improved. The suggestion of stopping, stepping back and allowing a slower piano solo to take the place of the increasingly hectic beat might suffice for allowing the track to cool off a little and then giving way to a slightly faster beat as it rebuilds around something that might be slower, but have more impact, as you build up again during a shorter timeframe.

Nice song

A very nice song, I especially like the intro with the guitar, sounds very nice.

But the drums need some more variations, they basically play the same thing the throughout the whole song.

However, I do like the atmosphere of this song. It's a bit melancholic but also very thoughtful. I wished the song would be a bit longer, though.

pretty good try

I really enjoy the composition of the song, and the samples used sound good together. That being said, I only have 2 real issues with the song: the guitar bends sound out of tune and out of time to my ear. Also, once the hi hats come in, there is not enough variation in the drums. A 1 bar fill, or even a changed hi hat pattern would make this sound much better. Overall, good work, I enjoyed it.

GronmonSE responds:

I assume it's the guitar at the beginning. That one's terrible, I'll admit.

And the only fill I did was adding bass drum hits every 4 bars. Should have added more variation I guess.

Thanks for the review.

Great Guitar

0:26 Sounds like something from the original Doom.
Keep up the good work.

GronmonSE responds:

I haven't played that in a loooong time.
