Sonic Legacy (TM) is property of Sonic Paradox

This is the opening track to Episode 1 of Sonic Legacy's side story, Mobius Legacy. This episode takes place 11 years before Sonic's current time. The opening scene is the introduction to the Mobian Council as well as the start of Dr. Robotnik's court trial for a suspected trespassing and burglary. The idea behind this was a dramatic start. Entering a courtroom isn't exactly a happy feeling. Lots of orchestral instruments and a steady build, and I remember there was some fun with effects on the drums. It was another learning experience in sound forms. But after the part was finished for the dub itself, the project was only one minute long, so I decided to extend it.

This is where I had the crazy idea to go underground super-spy style with it. A lot of inspiration from dance artists like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers guided the beat style and build-up. After things really got going with the song extension, it was really fun and easy to get through. It was all about what instruments would sound the best with what role and combinations with everything going on. I'm very happy with how it turned out, and I hope you like it as well!
