My first submission to win an award, and on my very first week of going public on Newgrounds! The future started looking a little brighter. I got the weekly top 5 award placing 2nd. This one was cut down from a bigger length to be available on Newgrounds, back in 2006 the limit was 4 MB per song, which is roughly 4:15 in length. Some inspiration from rock band Zebrahead. It’s slowed down for a more dramatic feel. It was mostly an experimental piece too, as it’s one of the only times I had worked with triplets at this point. It was also my first time using an actual editor, Audacity. Here I could not only convert WAV files to mp3 files, but I’d also learn basic editing functions such as reverb and fade. Every piece is a learning experience. Things would be different from here on as I had pretty much become established as a Sonic remix artist, people would start requesting many Sonic tracks that you will hear in future pieces

I love the BGM from Mystic Cave, it's probably my favorite song from any game. And I really do like this remix. But it needs to be faster! Up the tempo! The song got so much better when I sped it up a little!

Yep, Mystic Cave. Always been for me an excellent theme for a plot, a dark ambiance or something like that. That's damnedly good ! How did I haven't clicked on this before !
