December 8th, 1941; President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan, after it attacked U.S.A. by sending kamikaze pilots to crash into pearl harbor. A morbid and powerful statement by the Japanese.

In August of 1945, the United States Government responded by bombing two Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic weapons. This resulted in the estimated deaths of 20,000 soldiers, and 130,000-200,000 citizens.

During these days, a cartoon film of a silly little turtle was being shown to young children demonstrating the proper techniques to execute in order to survive an atomic bombing. This is summed up in the words 'Duck and Cover.' This friendly cartoon with happy go lucky music aired during the 1950s while the Soviet Union was undergoing nuclear testing, and the U.S. was at war with Korea.

On November 22, 1963, president John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Four years later, on April 4th, 1968; Baptist minster, activist, and legendary public speaker Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.

On September 11th, 2001, four passenger planes flying in American air were hijacked. Two of these planes crashed into each of the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, one crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and passengers on the fourth plane fought back, and the plane crashed into an empty field in Pennsylvania, a 20 minute flight to Washington D.C.

On Dec. 14th of 2003, Head of US occupation in Iraq; Paul Bremer, announced the capture of accused terrorist and person thought responsible for the attacks on Sep. 11th with the words, "Ladies and Gentleman, we got 'im." The crowd cheered. Watchers at home rejoiced.

In 1958, the first U.S. combat troops were sent to the middle east. The U.S. has never ceased it's occupation since then.

According to the Center for Homeland Defense and Security, there have been over 2000 K-12 shootings since 1970. In 2022, there were more shootings than any other year, according to sandyhookpromise.org.

The world has become surrounded by violence. The United States in particular has shown its military power time and time again. School shootings are becoming more and more common. Students have to go to school everyday worried about their safety. They have to learn how to hide, and protect themselves from a person with a gun coming into their school.

The U.S. holds their occupation of the middle east to this day, with near constant wars, and is directly or indirectly responsible for the destabilization and in-fighting between many world nations.

Most recently, there is the proxy war currently fought in Ukraine, following Russia's annexation of Crimea. Deteriorating relations between pro-western nations and soft international leadership have emboldened a post-soviet, nationalist Russia to reclaim her former glory. As tensions further inflame from decades of sanctions and anti-russian rhetoric, America poises itself for another round of nuclear arms production. Meanwhile we live and breathe in the fallout, the resounding echoes of a new Cold War.

This piece is meant to address this violence within and without America through the years. There have been plenty of pieces like this, I know. I hope to make something that stands on it's own, regardless.

Lyrics:

BLOOD (x3)

Родина мама -- зовет издалека, она попросила

чтоб стал предателем

А Америка совсем нормальная? Нет ли она вся в крови

When the fallout comes

And everybody runs

How many will they find

As bodies piling high

As we spiral down

How long til we collapse

Another day of mourning

From a disgraceful act

Can you see when there's so much blood

The flood, feel it washing over me the rush

I want you to feel it with me, powerful enough

Sweep you right off of your feet, Adam

RUN

Can you see when there's so much blood

The flood, feel it washing over me the rush

I want you to feel it with me, powerful enough

Sweep you right off of your feet, Adam

They died

A martyr for what

The price they paid

Forgotten with time

Now we can’t remember why

Any hope left destroyed

I wanna see you make love, not war

While the television tells you what to think, what it's for

What's more, spend your body to the brink undone

We won, says the man in the TV

WE DROP THE BOMB AND WATCH IT RAIN

Translation:

The motherland calls from afar

She asked you to become a traitor

And is America really normal at all?

Is she not covered in blood?

This is fucking beautiful, incredible work all involved. 👏

ADR3-N responds:

Thank you! This project was one of if not THE first professional song-writing collaborations I've ever been a part of. Tru laid down the overall structure and was the mastermind behind the direction of the project, from its inception as an open-invite demo to the final which I mastered. FFS and I each wrote two original sets of lyrics and vocal tracks, which we worked together to incorporate in a way that complemented each other and the track as a whole. It's not perfect, but I think it's much more than a sum of its parts!

Right on! love the vocals!

ADR3-N responds:

Blush emoji 😊

Great!

ADR3-N responds:

Thank you <3

ADR3-N responds:

Так точно ❤️

Hell Yeah man!
