Built around a sample of the opening theme to "The World of Peter Rabbit & Friends," "Beatrix," also known as "Potter the Crimson Tod," is an instrumental by xKat...
— That was my impression of a third-party description of myself.
So I actually had this track written and "finished" since October 2022. 'Twas simply a matter of mixing and some additional sound design. As you could already anticipate me saying, HERE WE ARE NOW. (Track is on YouTube btw)
Like I mentioned, the orchestral samples are extracted from the opening sequence to The World of Peter Rabbit & Friends, an animated adaptation of the classic children's books written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter (hey I think I just said where the song's title comes from!).
"Tod" is the eponymous character from Potter's The Tale of Mr. Tod. The "crimson" part of the title is from a non-sequitur I'd written down somewhere as a song title prompt; "Crimson Tod."
This isn't my first time sampling from this series; I previously done so for the songs Trailmixing and Soot Stained Shoes.
