Lovely Town / Lovely Tavern - Jamuary Day 4

Had a different idea that I scrapped in favor of this (just like yesterday's, the scrapped song was in an irregular time signature lol). I wanted this to sound like an indie top-down RPG town theme that transitions into the theme of that town's inn/tavern/what have you. I think it came out pretty well!

Originally the indoors section was going to use a music box, but I thought a simple piano felt cozier and had a fuller sound, almost like one of the NPCs is playing it by the fire. From the perspective that this is from a hypothetical indie RPG, I wanted the outdoors section to feel non-diegetic and the indoors section to feel diegetic.

Little fun fact - the second portion of the main melody was taken from another song WIP I made from before Jamuary started. It got stuck in my head before I had started writing today's song and I realized it slotted perfectly alongside the portion of the melody I did write today. IDK if that's "cheating" or not since I technically didn't write that part of the song during the span of today, but screw it - I think it worked well and I sure as heck wasn't going to ever bust that melody out otherwise, haha.
