West Forest is my favorite song from POPGOES Arcade so I decided to make a cover of it! I'm super duper happy with how my interpretation of it; transcribing this song by ear was so much fun and a really entertaining challenge! I took a few small creative liberties with the bassline and a lot of creative liberties with the drum patterns, and I added a lil pad to help make certain segments fuller. The core melody and harmony should be completely intact though, no frills!

Fun fact about this project: I actually had a great deal of trouble with the notes of the opening section at first; however, I emailed Kane Carter asking what those notes were and he sent me a screenshot of his FL Studio with the exact notes I needed haha! What a class act; I'm incredibly thankful for that kindness.

I absolutely love this song, and after making this it'll probably be stuck in my head forever. I may cover a few more songs from POPGOES Arcade in the future given that this one was so much fun. We'll see!
