Well...
Sorry, this song is just so repetitive I can't stand it...I might be the only one though, so no worries. And BTW, you MUST'VE forgotten about Star Wars...
Napoleon Dynamite infulenced this song.
If you haven't seen the movie, at the end, Napoleon helps Pedro win the Class Election by dancing, and he's walking home and the song that inspired me plays. Napoleon Dynamite...fifth best movie ever.

ps. weird al's "UHF" is the first best. on my opinion.

The definition of summer mellowness in song format
First criticism= This needs a bit of work. The drum kit is just ruining it for me for most of the time. I would suggest a much more laid back beat, especially when the crash cymbal comes into play about half way through the track. When the song opens up, the timing is a little arrhythmic, which is not at all what this kind of music needs. Something, quiet, simple, and in the pocket would suit the rest of the song much better, in my opinion. Just putting the hi hat on the downbeat with kicks on 2 and 4 would do nicely I think with a switch to ride with subtle accents towards the middle and end.
The Good= Wow. This really captures that scene in the movie and a certain lazy awkward spirit that serves as a candence for much of my life. I love this track. The beginning with the train car-esque bumping all the way through, it's fantastic. 5/5. I just watched the movie Juno with my girlfriend, and this would, seriously, be at home on the track for that movie.
In conclusion, with that drumkit fixed you might just have created my favorite audio submission.
wow, i'm always glad to have someone likeing my stuff, but your FAVORITE? that's really cool...thanks!
Sweet!
Very mellow! Kind of reminds me of a jam session.
thanks, and it's kind of funny...it started out as a kind of jam session. i was just jamming on some chords and that song came into my head...and i decided to record it. so im glad you like it!
