i love this song, you did such a great job on the cover and the cleans really fit as well
This is a full cover of a song I've had in my head for literally over a decade.
Back in 2010 a user by the name 'Wahnsinn' put out a song called 'Vicodin' and it absolutely blew me away. They had a band called 'Indigo League' and were apparently based in Melbourne. You can still find the 2nd demo of this track on their EP on Soundcloud under 'Indigo League' but the original is lost to time (unless you use The Wayback machine).
I've always wanted to do a cover of this song but felt "I can't play guitar well enough" or "I can't sing good enough". And while that 2nd one might still be true I felt like I had to try if only as a tribute to the legends that made this track and inspired me 12 years ago.
I really tried to do this justice but I realize my voice was made for narration and silly character voices, not singing. Embarrassingly enough this is probably my best clean vocal performance I've had, even though this song is WAY beyond my range.
Also, all the processing I gave the cleans ended up sounding almost like a bunch of Sesame Street children doing metalcore (especially at the end) and that mental visual made me laugh enough I didn't change it.
I'll also put out an instrumental when I get the chance to render it up.

Heck yeah, this is a banger. I'm a perfectionist too, and I must say you're needlessly self-depricating. Your screams and growls are great too, I'll have the technique and courage to sing someday. I also know the feeling of harboring a song for a decade, haha. Fanastic work
