Terrific! Is it allowed to use in gd? Tnx
NGADM'22 - Round 1
Hey there, thank you for passing by!
I literally started this yesterday cause I was off town but it definitely ended up being better than expected lol. There are a ton of stuff that I wanted to try but I had to leave those ideas aside for the moment.
About the track
Inspired by Anato Finnstark's work I started sketching some folkish melodies in the piano and somehow this happened. I wanted to convey some sense of journey by taking the first elements of the track, evolving those and introducing new 'musical scenarios'. You might even spot some correlations with The Hero's Journey acts. It wasn't strictly considered though.
The track starts in D Dorian and modulates to C Eolian by the end. Hopefully it isn't too overwhelming and every section transitions smoothly. I know there could be some more precise and creative ways to connect the ideas but time was short.
The structure could be analyzed as A A A A I dont even know, who cares lol
Hope you like it! Tell me what you think :)
Btw please do check Anato's art out, it's amazinggggg
Terrific! Is it allowed to use in gd? Tnx
Thanks! I guess no one ever asked to use my music in gd so I never select that type of license. Go ahead, I'm not sure how gd works but the track is downloadable
Incredibly beautiful :')
Oh, I love that kind of music. I have no complaints about arrangement/mixing, some transitions are not perfect, but the modulation sounds fine and the composition itself is fairly balanced.
Lovely work, well done and good luck!
Thanks dude! Yeah there are a couple things I could tweak, I'll do that after the judging haha
Beautiful! :)
Thanks
I wish I could do in a week what you can do in a day!
The instrument textures and mixing are superb, not to mention the arrangement. I can tell you're going to school for this kind of thing :)
Fantastic work as always - you'll be going far this year I'm sure.
Actually the secret is references, listen and learn from the music you like, I learned orchestration that way. I do go to music school tho which helped me in the music theory realm. Anyway, thanks! Let's hope so, there are great contenders!
You may not use this work for any purposes.
