It's been 5 years, since the boy has found the Lonely Love Spider. The boy now a late teenager, has felt slightly uneasy. While he cares for her very well, he notices something strange. That despite living with him for 5 years, there is no signs of aging. Nor has she died, despite the lifespan of the average spider being that long. Curious, he takes her to a local Spider Farmer and Arachnologist to study her.

However the Spider itself is very scared. She's heard stories from her fellow spiders about strange humans in white coats, cutting animals open to see their insides. So naturally upon seeing the Spider Farmer, she panics. Inching to the side of the jar where the boy was, hoping he'd help her get out of this. Only to see that he's handing the jar over to the Spider Farmer. The Spider, sees among most things an electrical device and a couple of metal tools. As well as a small bag of soaked cotton balls. She couldn't read the words, but they said "Anaesthesia". One of the balls goes into the jar with her, making her panic, not knowing that would just make her go to sleep faster. The last thing she sees are two electrical prongs heading for her face.

She wakes up later on to find herself to be ok. Still alive, awake if not groggy, but aside from some soreness. She sees a small Cricket sized capsule next to her with a clear liquid inside. A liquid she recognized. It was her venom. The scientist took it out of her while she was sleeping. She also notices next to it is a small jar full of liquid webbing. It didn't take her long to figure out that the Spider Farmer was studying her in the most harmless ways he could think of. He notices she's awake and gives her a big fat Grasshopper as a treat. It calms her down a little and she is safely handed back to the boy. The Spider Farmer explains exactly what she is: A Lonely Love Spider. He advises the boy to be careful as her venom is deadly, but is an otherwise harmless spider. The boy takes her home and places her on his desk. "Wow. I never heard of a Lonely Love Spider before." He said. "You must be very rare." He notices the spider shaking, but reassures her. "It's ok, I made sure to tell him not to do anything to kill you, you're still my friend after all." She stops shaking and calms down. He throws in a few more bugs for her as a special treat, before he goes to bed. "I wish there was a way she could understand me more. I feel like I let her down." He whispers to himself, before going to sleep. But the spider did understand, enough to know he'd never hurt her. An idea forms in her mind.
