Very vaporwavey. Though autotune could help with ur singing.
First of all, all credit goes to the following people:
Raymond Briggs whom has created a Children's Book that millions around the world have read either on the holidays or whenever.
Dianne Jackson whom adapted the story to a short film that further reached out to billions all over the world, including yours truly.
Most importantly Howard Blake. Whom if not for his music, this story may have gotten lost to time.
I am referring to of course, The Snowman. The song, Walking In The Air:
This song has been covered by many musicians from Nightwish:
To one of my synth influences Tangerine Dream:
Now one of the things I wanted to do ever since I started making music was make a song I could sing to. However due to circumstances beyond my own control, I have not found a proper place to record, as much like audio dramas, singing requires you to emote more and I didn't have a place to do so without risking pissing off my neighbors or landlord at the time. However now I have a good space in my home, a microphone and a few items I need to turn that space into a soundproof studio, but while I wait for those items to arrive, I decided to practice up on my singing. Now bare in mind, I can sing. Quite well actually. However it's been a long time since I've been able to set things up so that I could sing for a song and I thought what better way to do this than make a remake of one of the songs I listened to as a kid. Like many of my song remakes I've done in the past I remade this song from scratch. Made my own midi and added my own spin on it, while trying to balance my voice with the instrumental. So far it seemed like I did a pretty decent job.
Lyrics:
We're walking in the air
We're floating in the moonlit sky
The people far below are sleeping as we fly
I'm holding very tight
I'm riding in the midnight blue
I'm finding I can fly so high above with you
Far across the world
The villages go by like dreams
The rivers and the hills
The forests and the streams
Children gaze open mouth
Taken by surprise
Nobody down below believes their eyes
We're surffing in the air
We're swimming in the frozen sky
We're drifting over icy
Mountains floating by
Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep
Arousing of a mighty monster from its sleep
We're walking in the air
We're floating in the midnight sky
And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly
Very vaporwavey. Though autotune could help with ur singing.
In that case I had a sore throat. But ya. While I appreciate that I feel that if I'm gonna sing I should let people hear at least some semblance of a real voice. No offense to those that do autotune, but I don't do that.
Regarding the Vaporwave feel to it, I was trying to do a more 80s fantasy style.
Very good vocals and an adorable story. from a fan.
