Just in time for new years resolution! For this year I'll... what do you mean new years passed more than a month ago? What do you mean it's the middle of February?!

Well at least it wasn't that long since my last track... what? TWO MONTHS?!

Wow I've been slacking. Sorry about all the inactivity folks. My life just kinda went on a drifting mode for a while and I found myself struggling to keep up with everything. But now I'm mostly fine so don't worry about it.

This was supposed to come out weeks ago but I wanted to make it beautiful so I held back the release. However, I just became lazy and let this song sit in the project files and collect dust. I guess that's just how life was meant to be...

... enough about my life, let's talk about this track.

I kinda cheated on this track. This track isn't new at all. I lied to y'all.

I think I left it halfway completed quite some time ago, though I can't remember exactly when I stopped working on it. But basically most of the idea was there, I just had to figure out how to continue after the epic bits. Anything before 2:07 is old, anything after is new.

Thus, as it's been a while since I started this track, I can't quite remember the original reasons for the choices I've made instrument-wise. I guess the submarine pling just sounded cool and decided to make a track around it. And if you weren't aware, the pling wasn't sampled.

If you haven't noticed so far, the rise fall effect is that one that's provided in one of the templates. In this track (and probably this track only) I messed around with the dials a bit to give it different lengths of rising, and even used it in the calmer section of the track as background noise. So far I haven't found a rise fall effect that I like other than that one so expect it to appear on other tracks.

Other than those things, I don't have much else to talk about the track. Well that's untrue, I have one more thing to say about it and it's about mastering the track. I feel like I've lost my touch for some reason even though I probably never even got used to it. I don't know why but it just doesn't feel right and with sufficient mastering I could make it louder without losing much detail... but I'm lazy so...

I got new stuff planned that's currently in the works, so look forward to those, and catchin the future! I mean catcha later!

p.p.s. my project folder is no longer a disorganized mess like me, and all it took was 1 minute of my time... was it worth it?
