Literally like 3 days ago I was feeling like the rest of Jamuary would be an unrecoverable nightmare, and here I am making one of the songs I'm most proud of in my entire catalog, never mind the challenge. It's astonishing that this is 2:30 long, considering I've spent a week on a song for it to be half that length, meanwhile I made this in like 3 (non-consecutive) hours. It's also astonishing that I made something I'm so happy with while only using 2 synths. (<-- he is pretending that he does not usually use 3 maybe 4 instruments per song) I think that allowed me to develop it a lot more without having to write in new stuff for more instruments. tbf it's kind of cheating in that regard because one of the synths is multi-layered but whatever.
