This is the first skit I've ever written! Featured in the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab 2021 Part 2. I've only ever lent my voice for the collab, but when I saw that the team were looking for more skits, I decided to give it a try, and after just having watched The Mummy and The Mummy Returns for the umpteenth time, I'd already found my inspiration. I wanted to re-create that nostalgic feeling from the late 90's-early 2000's era that I loved so much, and still do. And thanks to these amazingly talented people, this script came to life ;

LuckyDee produced the entire skit and worked tirelessly to make it sound absolutely amazing, from suspenseful pauses and bone-chilling undead sounds to the detailed rustling of clothing.

ZaazNG composed the soundtrack, which is a literal masterpiece and just sets the mood perfectly.

TeAM-MODe went over the script with me, helped me work on making the dialogue flow better and give more structure to the story.

  • And these extremely talented voice actors brought the characters to life (in order of appearance) :

Jone-of-VOC as Amelia

JoshDytonVO as Harold

VoicesByCorey as Robert

LuckyDee as The Undead Priest (who also did a great audition for Harold that you can hear in his most recent demo-reel)

Seriously, you guys blew me away with your performances. You were fantastic. I lost count of how many times I ended up squealing with excitement, cheering you on, and laughing in front of my monitor like an idiot just listening to the lines you sent in. Thank you all for your time, hard work and creativity. I also want to thank every person who took the time to audition. It was so much fun hearing so many different interpretations!

Make sure to check out the full collab and all of the talented people involved!

One of my absolute favorite skits I've had the pleasure of working on! Thank you so much Jen for your brilliance in writing this and the incredible team (SFX, editing, music scoring, and fellow cast) who worked on making this a masterpiece. All the elements came together in such a beautiful and harmonious way and I can't wait to see what other skits you bring to life!

Turned out absolutely amazing Jen! Dee you did a wonderful job editing this my brother! Need I say how good the voice acting was? I think it speaks for itself, quite literally :)
Scoring the music was an absolute pleasure and great fun! Thank you so much, Jenny! :D

LuckyDee responds:

Thanks man, couldn't have done it without you - you're fucking amazing.

JennyGlynn this turned out amazing!I loved every bit of it and I would 1000% love to do another. For your first time writing you did such a great job. Props to LuckyDee with the teidious job of putting this all together SFX and all. ZaazNG with the soundtrack. Amazing job all-round.

LuckyDee responds:

Tedious? It went from straight up fear inducing to exhilarating. This is the stuff right here.

YEAH BABY!

It was a pleasure Jen; an intimidating project once I realized what I'd gotten myself into, but I'd do it all again tomorrow. <3
