Lyrics : Sean Lang

Song composed (music and vocal arrangement) and

produced by : André C. Kalipke

André : The MA song with the most "EBM" potential. Straight from hell ! ;) Well done, Sean !

Sean : André initially gave me a 40-second instrumental in 4/92 with strings that had a swirling, descending sound. That gave me the idea of writing a song about the underworld. A month later, André came back with the full instrumental, but with a sound that was more synthesized. I came up with lyrics and a vocal arrangement and we recorded it in 7/92. At the end of the year, André came up with a new refrain and vocal arrangement (this version). This is the last Modern Age song recorded with vocals to date.

(Please also read the author comments of "The Band Introduces Itself" (vocal and recording quality, etc.)...). Lyrics - see below.

You've made it to this place down under

Welcome to the underworld

We've prepared a place here for you

You'll never leave - it's but assured

Look at this feast before you

Hope you'll enjoy it while you may

I'll guard and look upon you

While you so slowly rot away

It's time to die - it's time to go to hell

It's time to die - it's time to go to hell right now

You are starting to grow weaker

As the pain ceases to subside

It could become even worse now

If you don't follow and abide

The light has turned to darkness

You think it's over for you now

But this kingdom's never ending

It just goes on and on somehow
