André : Musically kept rather simple, the lines of the text are all the more meaningful. Roy wrote the composition and the first verse in 1991, before we got to know each other. We adopted the song into MA's repertoire without much hesitation. The lyrics were completed by Sean shortly after MA was founded. It was the first song we completed the vocals for.

Sean : Recorded 4/92, this was the second version of the song. We had recorded it a month earlier (our very first with vocals) with only one verse repeated four times. Roy usually submitted his songs to me that way - with the instrumental track, vocal arrangement and lyrics to the first verse finished. I then added additional verses. I was thrilled about the final result.
