This one came to me not too long ago. While Jesus and Santa are often the main things one thinks of when it comes to Christmas, I feel that while there are songs that do show appreciation for the other two main things, many overlook winter snow and growing pine trees.

Christmas even back to it's pagan roots of Yule and Saturnalia, has often been always associated with nature along side of giving gifts to fellow humans. However the one thing that often stands out the most are the two factors:

1. That snow, while beautiful in it's lighter times can be a nuisance for everyone whether you celebrate the holiday or not. Be it blocking roads and driveways or making people sick due to the severe temperature drop. Especially considering this year's pandemic.
2. Despite that only one piece of nature continues to grow and thrive despite the harshness of winter. The pinetree. It grows, it branches and even better unlike it's leafy counterparts in fall, the needles don't fall and get replaced by new ones. The only time being if someone shakes the tree or chops it down for firewood and Christmas trees. Other than that, that tree is not only a symbol for life going on. It is also a symbol of something humans seek since the dawn of time: Immortality. It's a wonder why it's associated with Christmas, Yule and Saturnalia.

So I decided to do a song based off that. The rhythmic background representing snow flakes and tree seeds. While the rest represent the reactions to months of it. The downer notes representing the increasing snowfall one flake at a time. The upper notes represent each tree growing one sprout at a time. Getting bigger and bigger as the notes go higher and higher.

Probably the most simplest, yet hard to make song I ever did. Enjoy.
