STORY: Part 26

Now that the world was safe to traverse again, the war continued through the years.

Pain and misery engulfed the lands until one fateful day Nervan stood face to face with Marklar on the battlefield for the first time, and it was an intense confrontation. Nervan was shocked at the appearance of Marklar, who was no longer human and he could sense the essence of his brethren on him and it filled him with such anger that he could not contain himself. Both fought with a fierce hatred for the other both in the air and on the ground. Nervan could not believe how evenly matched they were, what had Marklar done to himself to become so strong?

Their powers were frightening, and the clash shook the world. Energy beams and shock waves cut the landscape but neither of them giving up.

In this stalemate Nervan made the choice of transforming to end this once and for all.

He takes the shape of the Grathranmar and towering over Marklar. The crystal breath sends Marklar flying into the side of a mountain but as he emerges from the dust he smiles before he also begins a transformation. He becomes a black titan standing tall on two legs with mighty arms that spouted long claws and the head of a demon. In his mouth was a red glowing fire that could scorch the land in an instant.

Nervan, even if he was surprised did not hesitate and charged at his sworn enemy only to find out that he was not strong enough. The fiery breath of Marklar would scorch and burn his crystal body and the claws could cut through him easily.

This became a hopeless battle and Nervan knew it and he was not ready to die here, there was too much at stake. He manages to hold off Marklar’s assault so that everyone can retreat before he himself reverts back to his humanoid form and flies away with a speed unmatched by Marklar who also reverts to his humanoid form before he screams out in rage, mad at the cowardice he felt Nervan showed.
