Nice job man. Will be following you and giving your other stuff a listen as well
Humbled to be in a competition with so many talented fellows. Here's what I was able to scramble together in a little over a week. I've never made anything like this in so little time.

I originally didn't want to talk about the track beyond the technical stuff, but I decided it might be in the listener's interest for me to add a little more depth to it. I've just been angry and frustrated with life these past few weeks. Feeling unappreciated at work, to the point where it's like Groundhog Day and no matter what I put in, the outcome doesn't change and I'll remain stuck where I am. I try to remind myself that I'm doing everything right, am in a great place right now compared to a lot of people, and that I should be grateful. That helps to an extent, but I always seem to eventually relapse into cynicism and the desire to disassociate with people as much as possible. Recognizing this cycle is frustrating in itself, so that's a double whammy for me lol. So I just called this track Addendum because I'm always trying to keep my anger in perspective, like adding a footnote to every episode. Not sure if it perfectly encapsulates that, but that's just what I've been feeling like lately.
Okay, therapy session is over. Volume up!

Much more compositionally ambitious than the previous submission I must admit! Guitar tone has much more meat to it, however I feel a nice aggressive bridge jazz bass tone would've complimented the guitars. Songwritingwise I'm very impressed with the variety of signature changes, chord usage, and their applications to the general structure, idk if you might think I'm easily impressed but then again I'm not very big at all on more modern progressive metal(core) bands, it's impressive however you managed to stick all of this together and not have it feel incomplete or rushed. I also find it impressive the amount of key changes in the piece, and how they fit in and don't feel predictable. 9/10 Impressive, very nice.
Great song and kudos for the structure!
Your guitar tone is awesome for the palm mute \m/
Do you have a band? If yes, I would be glad to hear about it :)
Thanks for the kind words! I’ve never actually been in a band. Maybe someday!
Those time signature changes sound kind of like a cross between KSE and Invent Animate. Well done!
Thanks! Any comparison to those bands is one heck of a compliment to me. All the best.
