Ninja Blob Arena was a game I worked on in 2012 as a composer and debugger. It was created in Game Maker 7 by "Wave Games" and it's about as indie as it gets. It was largely made by one guy by the name of Dermott Dekkers. Your objective is to stop robots from reaching the left side of the map and attain the highest score by using such items as the Lightning Fez along with your ninja skills. It's a simple game, but fairly fun, and the creator made a sequel titled Ninja Blob Jumper.

"Bob has been thrown into the digital world and must escape by entering conversion gates. He will have to jump across endless voids and avoid safeguard software to escape his unreal surroundings."

Ninja Blob Jumper game is a platformer and plays entirely differently. This time your goal is to jump from platform to platform and get to the other side where a "conversion gate" will take you to the next area. I played a larger role in the programming this time around in addition to the soundtrack, though it was mostly helmed by Dermott Dekkers once again.

There was another game titled MonCARO, but I had no involvement in the project. I did work with him again on a game called IoN, which only had one track.

The first four tracks are from Arena, and the rest are from Jumper, though I see them all as part of one collection. Back in 2012 I would sometimes imitate chord progressions, drums or basslines from other songs and build an entirely new song out of that. Some of these tracks may sound kinda-sorta like songs from other games, though I don't even remember what the original inspirations were. I know Hex Technology sounds a lot like a song from Tetris Attack. I don't really do that anymore as I think it goes against the purpose of what my music is about.

I don't know what ever happened to Dermott Dekkers, but I hope he's doing well, and part of me hopes he stumbles upon this video someday for a trip down memory lane. I still have Arena and Jumper on my PC, source code, assets and all!

Anyways, thank you so much for listening to these old songs. I hope you enjoyed this little collection and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Goodbye for now!
