I like the atmospheric fade-in at the beginning and the bright pads and piano. The chord progression is a bit cliche, but the production quality is great, and I’m digging the upbeat mood and energy. There’s a great sense of build-up into :47, and the melodies there are nice too. The drums are a tad over-compressed, and the melodies feel like they could’ve been a tad more dynamic after a while, both in terms of melodic contour and rhythm. The atmospheric breakdown was a nice touch, but the arrangement of the piece is also pretty generic. I also would’ve liked to see a second refrain that was more distinct from the first one, just to give the piece a stronger sense of overarching development and storytelling. I think what really has me sold on this piece is the atmosphere and emotion - the piece sounds not just happy but also triumphant, like it’s coming at the conclusion of a grand adventure. And while I’ve been critical of some of the compositional details here, the sound design, mixing and mastering, and harmonic content are all quite strong. Keep at it, Aquilyzer! :)

sweet little tune with great 90's/00's PLUR vibe. the description said DnB but i still expected happy hardcore at the drop. not really much to fault with the mix/master, sub bass is a little loud in the main sections for my liking but that's about it. the main issue i have is that it's just too basic in it's production and composition: very stock drums and synths with little in the way of fills and cutaways. I-IV-vi-V chord progression throughout, and without a strong melodic theme in the main sections the track got pretty boring by the end. feels like the beginning of something great with a lot of potential!

Great patches all around! Especially like the bass. Wish a new sound was introduced in that 2nd chorus!

Thanks for reminding me about Renoise, had to do a quick learn. Program looks like a lot of fun and so is the music. For some Reason I thought it belonged to Propeller head studios, I'm happily wrong.

I'm gonna have to give this another listen later, am away from my sound equipment which includes headphones. The mix looks nice and full via the browser's media player's sound wave.

Happy jump up, good feeling down tempo DNB. I say down tempo only because I'm a slut for 180+ BPM. Push it a little faster, I'm into that.

He hasn't uploaded since 2011 but go give Rawrthaas a listening to. He used to make an identical DNB style to this, I'm friends with him on Facebook.
