Anyone who pays attention to my twitter knows I'm a big Kirby fan, and the long time series composers Jun Ishikawa and Hirokazu Ando have been hugely influential in my melodic writing. Jun Ishikawa made the music for the very first Kirby game Kirby's Dream Land, which I'm arranging here... But I wonder, can y'all name the other Kirby songs I referenced in this piece? There are five here besides Float Islands, so listen close!
yes those are Kirby 64 soundfonts

That bit with moon struck blossom was perfect 🥰
Thanks :) I had fun sneaking in references not-so-subtly
Wonderful sound. Brilliant jazz interpretation of the Kirby games. Really like the bells. Beautiful pads. You were able to fit all that in less than two minutes of music without making it sound like it was in need of extending. Only other takeaway is that there needs to be more pieces like this.
I love it. Thank you.
Thank you ðŸ˜
