So this was originally a One Hour Compo where the theme was "Virus." This was shortly before the Pandemic began, coincidentally enough. I figured this piece was worth revisiting after my long hiatus, and I decided to tweak it to symbolize my perception of the pandemic. The drums are a lot more prominent and certain sections are deliberately disorderly to represent the ineptitude and callousness demonstrated by the general populace and it's governing bodies. It's not something I would call "Easy listening", as I was trying to capture the various elements of the pandemic theme. I've added many new instruments since the original, So there's a lot going on in this piece. This represents just how much has been going on since this pandemic started. I've added onto the original, and have turned the original ending into a "False ending", to represent the period between the waves of the pandemic, where cases would go down, restrictions would be lifted, then cases would go back up.
