This is the first track off of a Ribbons-related project I'm planning on updating over time. To give a little background on this, one of my favorite albums, Life in Boxes by Yoe Mase, has a song called "Neon City in Shattered Glass" and it tells a story about someone who fantasizes about escaping the dystopian reality of his home to separate themself from all the discomfort and hardships of life.

To me, the idea of escaping to another place or another world to forget about one's troubles and hardships is one of the most beautiful concepts in storytelling and plays a huge, central role in the themes revolving Ribbons' story. This project, aptly named Cubes, is a way for me to express my love for the fantasy and the escape from reality storytelling and music can offer while also giving others a preview into my mindset of how I want Ribbons to feel like, if that makes sense.

This won't be a consistent project by any means, because I still want to continue writing and pushing the Ribbons story even further and I also want to practice my musicmaking skills in the future, so this won't be a project that will be continuously updating every week or every month. I'll just be working on this whenever I have ideas for Cubes and if any soundtrack ideas for Ribbons pops up. This project will also discontinue once Ribbons will be finished and uploaded.
