The ancient world has become nothing but a legend among the villagers of the new world. Those who knew what truly happened are long gone, but now that the ruins have been found, it's not too late to put the pieces together. The journey might be dangerous, but the field is vast and the curiosity's even bigger, it's not worth losing the only light the past has left. It is time to unveil the history behind the fall.

This took way too long to make, but hey, better late than never. I always like participating in AIM, making songs for this is really fun and seeing what others submit and their inspirations is truly amazing! I like contests that are more focused on having fun :)

Update - June 18th, 2021: Light changes in the mix, removing some peaks during the interlude and now the pre-chorus sounds slightly different.

I absolutely dig this. I was so waiting for the percussion to come in and it was quite worth the weight. Only complaint is that it feels like you have competing frequencies in the mid and low range. Maybe it's because you have too much reverb with some of the chords and basses, or you just have too many instruments trying to play in the same range, so the mix felt crowded. Again loved listening to this

The story I've written behind this image is very much similar to what you have described. In a way, I am glad I told you this story through just the image. The music is incredibly riveting and engrossing which is perfect. It feels like a slow descent into the world I have created. Exactly the mood I was going for. Well done.
