Sick dude!
Mathcore-y with some early death metal! Can definitely some pig squeals up in this!
My very first time writing a song with vocaloid featuring GUMI.
Lyrics:
Enter to this reality
Where you see your own grave
As your body begins to decompose
And you're never gonna go back
As the time passes
You're consciously dead
No one's coming to save you now
As we make you useful down here
We'll take your fucking voice
And twist your fucking words
We're now the one in control
We own your body now
If you dare to question us
Or if you dare to speak against us
Prepare to be silenced
As we deteriorate your mental state
You all should die you self-righteous fuck!
Sick dude!

I don't listen to metal a lot, but I thought this was really cool. For future reference, I think your mix would sound much better with a few tweaks:
On the master channel, I would add more compression on the low band of the multiband compressor (just a hair!). Also on the master channel, I would turn the pregain down a bit. In some parts of the songs, I heard the music hitting the ceiling of the limit too hard.
A tad more high end on the kick would be cool, with a tad less low end (this may be fixed with the more compression on the low end of the multiband compressor mentioned earlier).
Less distortion on the vocals would be good, just mix it in a little less.
These are just some things I would change if I was behind the mix! Overall the mix sounds good! And if a mix sounds good, it is good (but there is always room for improvement).
Great work!
Whoa, I never thought I would get a response for my mix haha, well I would like to reply to your concern on the mix.
I purposefully amplified the master volume by about 20% more than the average because I thought that it wasn't loud enough, I usually don't do this on some of my other songs and I would never mess with the master channel unless I have to. But I also noticed that it's going over the limit in about 2.0 decibels higher so I think I might've crapped on the mix a bit lol. I also haven't touched the bass boost on the izotope mastering essentials so I pretty much effed up the mix and the low-end might've dominated the mix than being balanced with the other frequencies.
Regarding the kick, I actually do not know how to fix the high-end on the bass since I put it all of the drum channels on only one channel and not seperate them because I think it sounds fine on it's own. I guess I also effed up there didn't I? Hahaha, Maybe I'll set up the kick-trigger channel more and seperate it to another channel so I can modify it later on to boost it's high-end. Alternatively, I can put 3 kick channels together and modify it on that, but I'm pretty afraid that it would sound more muddy and messy hahaha, thanks for the tip though, I really appreciate it and I'll try to incorporate that into my future songs.
As for vocals, I just used a preset (Vocal - Studio) and used the in-app distortion, (Acoustica Distortion) lowered the pre-gain a bit, have a little more distortion and set the post-gain to almost none, all while ignoring the presets on their own.
Gotta admit I'm quite lazy sometimes, but at the end of the day, I want to produce a song that's well-mixed and more sensible rather than just being loud and ignoring the mix altogether and relying on presets rather than adjusting them a little bit. I was in a pretty bad state since I wrote this song haha, but I'll try my best to improve my producing skills rather than relying on what the mixcraft has handed me and just rely on presets rather than adjusting to my liking. I'm an amateur musician and producer after all and I wanted to learn more than what I currently have, it's why I'm very thankful that I have this kind of comment, reminds me a bit of my composition teacher lol, but yeah thank you for the suggestions and wonderful comment!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
