Originally written in 2010-2011 for "Feature Suite," a suite for violin, clarinet and jazz piano trio. Remastered for 2021. The current version takes the mid-section in E-flat minor into a piano cadenza which emphatically plays the original melody.

Note that this movement uses viola instead of violin.
