Delicious track! Hey, for the two waaawww synths, one's stereo panned and one's more mono, is that the same synth with an automated stereo expander, or did you have two different synths alternating, one wide and one not?
Great work as always Quarl!
Was planning on naming the track after this sample in someway but decided to stay silly after getting called "oldschool" and "retro" by younger artists. To clarify, I'm totally ok with being called "oldschool." I'm just making fun of my age.

Lol, it's not unusual for me to program several lead synths that all play off of each other. It's a tech I developed in GarageBand circa 2006 to get around that programs lack of flexibility. Sometimes I can patch a certain type of synth faster than I can program something else to do the same thing. Malstrom is my go to ride or die quick synth. Granted, the deeper reese synth is going to be (off the top of my head) a Thor 3xosc attached to a scream distortion unit followed by a stand alone filter... ignore the fact that the Thor has three or four built in filters and probably doesn't need the extra unit. I like automating the knobs on the stand alone filter unit for some strange senior reason that I can't explain. Id take some screenshots but I'm currently on a Walmart tablet :D
Oh, one more thing. Stick experimental automation lanes on everything. I pan stuff slightly as the track goes on to make room for things. I automate the bpm from the transport panel. Automate a synthesizer to slowly fade out via the volume knob? NO, AUTOMATE EACH OSCILATOR TO LOWER AT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TIME SEQUENCES BECAUSE WHY NOT??
that vocal sample in the first buildup is *chef's kiss*
I love this track! Definitely going in my playlist ^^
Thank you and enjoy!
Needs more amen break 👀
I said jungle music for seniors, not corpses. Amen break is essentially ragtime music now.
Demonic and glitched out. Very interesting sound, maybe the drums could be a bit more clear, specifically the snare. This is definitely not for seniors. They should put on some McCartney instead. Also LOL at the Pikachu death sound from Melee and Cpt. Falcon's side smash
I've been sampling Captain Falcon karate noises for over a decade but you may be the first person to stop and say "lol, that's captain falcon." I can officially retire him now and switch to Luigi noises ಥᴗಥ
I need to chop and layer some new drum samples, will keep you in mind the next track I have the time for. Its not often I get told to work on my drums but I take that kind of feedback seriously <3
