SO COOL. This song was literally used in a gd level called "BSoD"
So to recap, an assorted pile of audio - mostly bits and clips of round shred that's been force fit through a square hopper into a compressor and finally, out through the mp3erator. Three buckets (standard) of MIDI clippings (small shred is fine, but medium is slightly more coarse) were added bitwise. The resulting blend was sequenced with initial zeal, which over an hour became more like the consistency of resigned deliberation. I think it's fine though, I doubt anyone would notice but if I didn't point it out it would (ethically) feel like a lie of omission.
If you're looking for a quick way to get the same overall feel, I've included additional info to get you started.
From the "Main" menu, Under "Help Output Helper", "Settings" were as follows:
bP minimizer : -0.2
MLS: 0
String pre-Comp Quality: 4
Strap for common users: 1.4 (usually this is always zero but the fringe was tipping, so I'm trying something new)
Intent: 8
...and in the Secondary Main panel use:
Mouse Input gain: 8
Snazz: 2.4
Sneed: 7
Shape modifier: roundly Pro
Likes: 0
So, that's pretty much it.
