This was the first new track I made after a long hiatus. Before that, I completed a remaster of an old track, and dug up another one I remastered a while ago but forgot to post (which I later posted on bandcamp).

So the story goes something like this: I was given an assignment where I had to make a podcast about a subject. Of course, as someone who knew nothing about podcasts, I assumed that there was a background track. With that in mind I began making a new track. I began with the usual instruments, but found that I was just really in the mood for some piano stabs (or whatever they're called). Then I remembered all the VSTs I downloaded at some point, one of which was a grand piano... and lemme tell you, the free grand piano VST sounds a heck of a lot more natural than the ones created from the default plugins.

While I was browsing the small catalogue of VSTs I had for the piano, I stumbled across the saxophone one (made by the same person), and after playing around with it a bit I determined it needed to be in the track. After finishing the track, I began modifying the sounds a bit by replacing the bass with another more natural one, and replacing the kick.

The funny thing is that this track was originally meant for another album I was planning, but since I didn't even have the artwork for it I just dumped the track in this album. Little did I know, that would kickstart my inspiration.
