the idea is cool, the drums are heavy, which is epic, the atmosphere is strong with this one, the arps and synths are on point!
Overall, nicely remade

Hoooooo boy, this was a freakin' PROJECT. Mixing and mastering this loud, layered, busy beast of a song was an ordeal. Unlike Forbidden Artifacts, I spent a majority of this project's life cycle on the mixing. A single change on a single synthesizer in the 1.0db range was all it took for some plugins to overpower the rest. However, all that time spent was well worth it in my eyes. This song is one of the heaviest, crunchiest arrangements I've done in a loooong time.
New segments were created, original portions added, several minor tweaks to the original composition here and there... and it ended up becoming a crazier project than intended! The focus of this arrange is very different from the original, to the point where when I listen to them both, I can scarcely tell they're the same song at times. And by GOD that intro strikes something powerful and primal within me.

I live for atmospheric tracks. One of my favorite artists is Mega Drive, and of course Kenji Yamamoto! Drums were a massive part of Metroid Prime's atmosphere. Ever since I played the Trilogy as a kid, I've always wanted to make atmospheric tracks that were on par. It makes me glad to hear that other people enjoy the atmosphere I try to create.
